We do not obtain life by works, rituals, or by keeping the law.
Galatians 5:13 ‘For, brethren, you have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.’
The liberty we have in Christ is the liberty of new life.
We do not obtain life by works, rituals, or by keeping the law.
Life is a gift; we must enter into it.
If we try to obtain holiness through the law;
life through rituals;
or salvation by works
then we are not trusting in Christ but in ourselves.
When we have new life in Christ
then we must begin to walk in it.
The love of Christ in us sets us free to serve others;
the works of the flesh will bring us into the bondage of serving self.
